Festival Tent Construction Crew
Come with us for a summer of fun. Working hard building massive tensile structures, and then watching our favourite bands and DJs perform to thousands of people in them, before taking them down and moving on. BUILD. FESTIVAL. BREAK. REPEAT

What are you going to do:
Kayam Structures seeks hard working, adventure loving tent construction crew for the festival season. (We affectionately call our crew tent monkeys as they can regularly be seen scaling our huge tensile structures)
This is a rare opportunity to join us for a summer festival season. Normally our crews tend to return from anywhere from 2-15 years so we rarely have vacancies. Since Covid a lot of our crew have opted to give 'normal' life a go. Which makes way for a special few new crew. If you read the below and think that could be you please get in touch!
What we're looking for:
*Available for the whole summer living and working away.
*Hard working - this work is HARD and certainly not suited to people who aren't willing to get muddy, blistered hands & give 100% to every day they work
*Some experience of manual labour is preferred but not essential - this is not so much so you know what to do on site, but more so a hard days work isn't a complete shock to the system
*Fun, outgoing & positive - you will be working in a tight nit group and being an enjoyable person to be around is essential
*Happy to live communally & share spaces - although you will nearly always have your own tent communal areas are all shared with the rest of the crew & crews cook and eat together
*Enjoys festivals & events - this isn't essential but to get the most out of this job you will love not only the work but the perks
*Flexible approach - our staff can be sent anywhere in the UK or Europe and we expect them to be willing to travel wherever they are required often without much notice. Crew are not able to select certain countries/events that they are more interested in.
*No educational grades or experience necessary
This job is ideally suited to those between 18-25 (but please don't let that stop you applying if you aren't within that bracket). We tend to find people who are younger have more time to spend many seasons with us which we love.
Life on Kayam:
Life on Kayam is very varied but the fundamentals are as follows: you will live, work, and travel with a group of people (between 4-12) to different event sites across the UK and the EU. Whilst there you will either live in tents, with one large communal tent (or occasionally in hotels). If living in tents it is the job of the crew to take turns to shop and cook for everyone each day (all food is paid for, as is accommodation & travel). Whilst on site your job is to help construct a bloody massive tent (generally 2,000-10,000sqm). This usually takes anywhere from 3-8 days. Once the tent is up you will normally get to enjoy the festival (occasionally you may be required to work elsewhere but we try to keep that to a minimum). Once it's all over it's time to take the tent down again and move on elsewhere, and repeat!
This is an excellent opportunity to see bits of the world you may not otherwise see, to meet new friends, to go to gigs, and to become part of the Kayam family. When you're with us (whether or not you're working) food is free, accommodation is free (but you will be asked to provide your own tent and camping equipment), travel is free, and festivals are free. There are often lots of other perks thrown in too depending on where you're working. You will be paid for every hour you work.
If this sounds like something of interest please get in touch.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and the right to travel in the EU.
