 We are hiring a Software Engineer to join our Supply Chain department, within our Inventory Management Squad. This squad is central to the Supply Chain transformation the company is undertaking, critical in providing the real-time view of where our stock is and facilitating the movement of inventory so that the right products are in the right location at the right time.

Key requirements:
  • Collaborate with the team to implement new features and enhancements to our internal systems, improving processes from purchasing to supplier. 
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of our bespoke tools, suggesting improvements for better functionality. 
  • Analyze requirements, question and refine them until satisfied, and actively participate in the development process. 
  • Stay updated with new technologies, bringing passion to the role and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. 
  • Contribute to the development of our code base and share learnings with the wider team. 
  • Engineer and implement automated processes to eliminate manual steps and improve company-wide performance. 
  • Act as a vocal and constructive leader, adapting to the changing needs of our growing organization. 
  • Embrace a culture of best practice sharing, self-development, and collaboration to foster individual and team growth. 
  • Collaborate with the wider development community in the team to implement microservice architecture. 
  • Utilize Test-Driven Development (TDD) and peer review in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) culture, supporting iterative development cycles and evolutionary design. 
  • Apply modern patterns of software development for functionality and scalability. 

 

The Person:

  • Experience working with Java, staying up to date with the latest versions. 
  • Proficiency in Spring Boot for building applications. 
  • Proven experience with unity and integration testing, working with microservices and APIs. 
  • Familiarity with Event-Driven architecture, preferably using Kafka. 
  • Strong understanding of RESTful services and APIs. 
  • Solid technical skills and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Sound knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and the Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) API.
