We are seeking an enthusiastic and solutions driven Supply Chain Assistant to join our Supply Chain team, aiding in the maintenance of stock levels of defined Chilled Food section, assisting in the creation of promotional forecasts and ensuring the upweighted volumes are communicated to vendors in a timely manner and ensuring we maintain target availability across designated sub-categories for all channels and territories, guaranteeing great availability every day and ensuring promotions and new range availability are delivered and maintained at the required levels.
The Purpose of the Role: Manage inbound purchase orders for Chilled Food to ensure we maintain the required availability of product. The role is responsible for ensuring we maintain target availability across a designated category for DC's, in store and online, ensuring promotions and new ranges are landed and maintained at the required levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open Order Management:
- Working with suppliers to ensure on time, in full delivery of all Purchase Orders. Regular communication with suppliers via phone, email and meetings.
- Overdue open order reporting / failed deliveries – update root cause, mitigation and new delivery date / quantity on the report.
- Open orders / future PO's - ensure they are accurate on the open order report, aligned to the stock budgets and on time with vendors.
- Non receipted goods – reporting against the Deport booking sheet on PO's that have arrived but not yet receipted. Working closely with the warehouse to address delivery compliance issues.
- Out of Stock (OOS) – provide root cause, mitigation actions & date stock is due into the DC.
- Future Inbound PO - booking requests to the DC and daily check in with goods in.
- Promo Availability - ensure trackers are updated promotional availability is delivered to the required levels.
- Instore Availability (ISA) – Target KPI 97%, ensure trackers are updated and details provided at line level.
- Range review / NPD – review performance of new lines / range review in week 1 v's forecast.
- Supplier Meetings – (weekly or biweekly) review order book, risk and build strong relationships.
- Capacity reporting – align the open orders with DC capacity to ensure the space is available to receipt the stock and book in within 24 hours.
- On time in Full (OTIF) - Vendor delivery compliance review and action plan for non-compliance. Produce a summary of previous months performance and mitigating actions.
Location: This will be a hybrid role with 2 days based at either our Nuneaton hub. The role will be required to travel frequently to our other hubs in Nuneaton, London and Burton. There may also be occasional travel outside of the UK as we're a global, digitally enabled business and we expect our colleagues to be self-driven and to determine the most appropriate place to work each day to meet the requirements of the role, achieve their best performance and optimum output.
Key Requirements:
- Ability to work cross functionally – Category teams, warehouse.
- Ability to create effective relationships with vendor base.
- Ability to create effective relationships with the wider Commercial Planning team, ensuring best practise is met and maintained across the function.
- Able to think creatively to solve problems.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Desirable experience of working on in-house ordering systems – POGO, Forecasting systems - Apollo, Replenishment system - F&R, Moomin
- Ability to interpretation and manipulation of data.
- Desirable experience with Chilled Food category
