Finance Analyst- Data in Chester House, Epsom Ave, Handforth, Cheadle, Greater Manchester, SK9 3DF Handforth, hybrid working with 1-2 days per week at our offices.

As a Finance Analyst- Data at Pets at Home, you will play a pivotal role within the Regional Finance Team, collaborating closely with the Regional Finance Manager. Your primary responsibilities will include driving data insights and narratives related to the performance of over 450 practices and managing the annual budgeting process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership of Reporting Models: Manage periodic reporting models, ensuring regular review, updates, and customization for different audiences.
• Presentation Preparation: Prepare presentations for the Vet Exec, highlighting anomalies and key messages, to be presented by the Head of the Department.
• Financial Metrics Analysis: Analyse key financial metrics, identifying trends across the entire group and variations by cohort, transforming raw data into relevant and meaningful insights.
• Dynamic Financial Reporting Tools: Develop dynamic financial reporting tools for non-finance colleagues, providing insight into individual practice performance.
• Budgeting Process: Act as a BPC superuser, owning the budgeting process, including template management, testing, and liaison with software suppliers to ensure timely rollout. Manage budgets for 450+ practices.
• Ad Hoc Support: Provide support to the Regional Finance team and internal stakeholders with ad hoc queries and reporting needs.

Requirements for the Role:

• Communication Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to distil a significant amount of data into clear trends and messages for non-finance colleagues.
• Excel Proficiency: Experienced and proficient in data analysis using advanced Excel skills, including VBA.
• Report Writing: Strong report writing abilities to handle variable inputs.
• Attention to Detail: Very strong attention to detail and effective time management.
• Deadline Management: Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple processes simultaneously.
• Qualified/Part Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or qualified by experience.

• Effective communicator at all levels, capable of simplifying complex financial issues for non-financial partners and colleagues.
