Reporting to: Head of Activity & Trade Planning

Pets at Home is seeking a dynamic and experienced Supplier Partnership Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Activity & Trade Planning, this role is crucial in overseeing the Supplier Partnership function, with the primary responsibility of planning and executing supplier investments into our marketing channels. The Supplier Partnership Manager will play a key role in developing the strategy and scope of supplier investment to centralize and align it across channels, ensuring it supports Pets at Home's priorities and areas of focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and nurture strategically important supplier relationships to grow income streams and support incremental investment opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain joint marketing plans for strategic suppliers, supported by data and insight.
  • Plan and execute supplier negotiations to deliver underlying Marketing income linked to Trading Terms.
  • Build effective relationships with Trading, Online, Marketing, and Analytics teams to ensure strong planning and clear communication processes.
  • Create and implement aligned supplier marketing strategies, from test and learn through to full campaign deployment.
  • Develop processes ensuring suppliers have a single point of contact for Marketing investment planning.
  • Lead the design of supplier packages for critical trading events, optimising investment and finding incremental opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Analytics & Insights team to create templated data insight packages and bespoke insights.
  • Provide strong and visible leadership to the function, overseeing a team of 3 colleagues.
  • Prioritize and adjust resource focus to support business priorities and the changing consumer environment.
  • Lead and develop your direct team, playing a leadership role across the broader Commercial function.
  • Create a pipeline of talent and succession planning within the team.
  • Build strong relationships across Commercial, Marketing, Multi-channel, and Analytics functions.
  • Represent the function strongly at key planning and communication meetings as required.

Key Relationships:

  • Establish strong relationships with peers across the Commercial, Multi-channel, Marketing, and Analytics functions.
  • Manage effective supplier relationship management related to Marketing investments.
  • Grow and develop expertise, staying alert to industry changes and best practices.
  • Maintain strong relationships with creative agencies.

Key Requirements:

  • Competent commercial retail business understanding.
  • Significant experience in commercial relationships, consumer marketing, and marketing planning.
  • Experience in creating and delivering strategic plans and managing budgets.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player with a track record of building collaborative relationships.
  • Confidence, experience, and gravitas to represent the function with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience in line management, coaching, and mentoring.
