The Opportunity
The Centralised Delivery Centre (CDC) based in Newcastle upon Tyne has been created by the unprecedented growing demand in analytics by industry. Data driven decision making is now becoming paramount and having the cutting-edge technology in EY to capture/ transform/ produce world class analytics has been an incredible journey for our clients.
The CDC produces analytics for global clients and EY has efficiently developed extraordinary technologies with huge strides and we can produce analytics with great speed, large data volumes and automation.
Due to the continuing demand from our clients this is an exciting opportunity for a new Junior Hub Assistant to join the expanding CDC team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing dynamic team who are changing how we deliver services to our clients.
Your key responsibilities
- You will, as a Junior Hub Assistant, be performing data cleansing transformation for structured and unstructured data sets from clients. These will then be standardised in to EY formats to input into analytics software. Responsibilities include:
- Working as part of the CDC providing data & analytics services to all UK offices
- Cleansing data using cutting edge technology such as Alteryx and other data cleansing solutions
- Analysis of data using a variety of different software tools e.g. Excel, Spotfire
- Assisting with data capture and extraction from key financial and ERP systems
- Internal team support using EY technology to process data and producing financial analysis
- Loading data to a variety of EY data analysis tools and solutions.
- Using EY’s project management tool to facilitate the progress of analytics deliverables
- Other tasks, as directed by the Team Manager and CDC Senior Manager.

- Strong team player with a sense of fun and proven ability to work with others
To qualify for the role you must have
- A good working knowledge of Excel
- Effectively deliver high volumes of work and analysis to a set budget
- Build effective relationships with colleagues and have a strong commitment to teamwork
- Able to work with data cleansing software packages
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Have some experience of financial data analysis and one or more financial/ ERP systems
- Possess some understanding of business and financial accounting processes
